Information on the functional area
Welcome to our website
Our Nursing is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School. It is planned, carried out and evaluated in a patient-oriented manner, taking into account the psychosocial situation.
Our nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses, medical-technical assistants and administrative staff. Participation in internal and external training courses is an integral part of our Human Resources program. New colleagues are introduced to their new tasks in accordance with an induction guideline developed by our ward, which guarantees our patients a high standard of safety and care.
The ENT outpatient clinic has nine examination cubicles. One of the examination cubicles is used for inpatient admission and another for diagnostics. There are also two operating theaters, a sonography room and a room for hearing diagnostics. We work closely with the affiliated outpatient clinics, some wards, the central operating theater, neuroradiology, the German Hearing Centre (DHZ) and anesthesia.
The ENT outpatient clinic is open from 07:30 to 16:00. This time is covered by the regular service. This is followed by the emergency on-call service, which is responsible for the care of emergency patients (external and internal).
The focus of our nursing work is on the care and support of patients during various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the ear, nose and throat area.
An important goal of our Nursing department is to contribute to efficient procedures. Among other things, this means ensuring that all materials, equipment and instruments are professionally available at all times for planned and emergency, unforeseen situations.
The range of care provided by the ENT outpatient clinic includes
- Middle ear diseases
- nasal diseases
- Surgical care (planned and emergency procedures)
- Skull base and inner ear diseases
- Tumor diseases
We treat patients of all ages.
