Nursing research

In recent years, more and more research has been carried out in the field of nursing science. On the one hand, this often concerns the question of how nursing care can be improved by technical products and, on the other, which patients and their relatives benefit most from academic nursing professionals.

The "Future of Nursing 2.0" project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), entered its second funding phase in June 2024. We will act as a joint transfer and innovation hub until May 2029. Our focus here is on testing telecare and consumer products such as wearables along the acute and chronic care pathway. Another project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research focuses on the needs of relatives of people with advanced breast cancer. Gesi-BK started on September 1, 2022 and is being carried out in collaboration with the University of Osnabrück. Gesi-BK - Together through innovation (interaktive-technologien.de)
