Evidence-based nursing care

Today, it is more necessary than ever before for nursing care to be based on scientific findings. This is the only way we can ensure high-quality healthcare for patients at Hannover Medical School.

We implement this by researching knowledge from studies and discussing this with nursing staff in practice. In some cases, we also develop care standards in working groups and discuss and introduce new products.

In addition, projects such as nursing rounds are used to provide impetus in everyday ward life.

Qualification papers

Qualification theses written by Bachelor's or Master's students also often deal with evidence-based care. You can find an overview of completed theses here:

Network of Academic Nursing Staff

The Academic Nursing Network was founded in July 2021 with a summer school as the kick-off event. The kick-off event was attended by 30 people. The network is intended to connect academic nurses as well as interested nursing professionals.

Dr. Schmeer and Ms. Kauffmann are the initiators of the Academic Nursing Network. The Academic Nursing Network meets once a quarter. The aim is to discuss nursing science topics, new projects, theses or other qualification work.
