Information on the ward
Welcome to our website
Our nursing care is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School.
Our Nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses (some with additional qualifications such as specialist training in endoscopic and surgical nursing and practice supervisors) and surgical assistants (OTAs). We are part of an interdisciplinary team and work very closely with various professional groups who all have the same goal: to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Participation in internal and external training courses is an integral part of our Human Resources. New colleagues are introduced to their new tasks according to an induction guideline developed by our department, which guarantees our patients a high standard of safety and care.
We guarantee continuous care for our patients by working early, late and on-call shifts.
We protect our patients from any complications that can be attributed to technical or human carelessness.
Another important goal of our Nursing department is to contribute to efficient surgical procedures. Among other things, this means ensuring that all materials, equipment and instruments are available at all times for planned and emergency operations.
We are responsible for the safety of our patients so that they do not suffer any physical injury during their stay in the operating theater. To ensure this safety standard, we work according to quality guidelines that we have jointly developed and which are an important prerequisite for providing optimal Nursing and treatment.
