Information on the ward
Welcome to our website
Our Nursing is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School. It is planned, carried out and evaluated in a patient-oriented manner, taking into account the psychosocial situation. We are responsible for a certain number of patients within the scope of nursing care.
Accommodation is provided in single, double and multi-bed rooms, which are generally allocated according to medical criteria. Individual wishes are taken into account as far as possible.
Our nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses (some with additional qualifications). Participation in internal and external training is an integral part of our Human Resources. New colleagues are introduced to their new tasks in accordance with an induction guideline developed by our ward, which ensures a high standard of safety and care for our patients.
We guarantee continuous care by working in a three-shift system in order to restore the well-being and health of our patients through interdisciplinary cooperation.
Our ward treats patients who have gastroenterological complaints in the area of the visceral organs (abdominal organs) or who have received a kidney or liver transplant. Our task and obligation is to protect the patient from any complications.
Through internal training and further education, regular patient surveys and participation in ward rounds, we ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of the care process and thus the quality of care. This is supported by the electronic patient file.

In the care and nursing of patients with tumors, we are guided by our concept for oncological care at the MHH.
You enter the MHH through the main entrance and go to the central patient admission. Here you will be admitted to ward 21.
If you need help, please contact the volunteer "green ladies and gentlemen" in the registration area, who will also accompany you if necessary.
In order to get to know you and your needs better and to be able to assess them, you will then have an admission interview with a nursing specialist on ward 21. She will also explain the further procedure on our ward to you. If you do not have to follow a diet, you can choose your own menu.
Following the admission interview, various examinations and nursing treatment measures will be carried out and you will be informed by the physicians treating you.
