Information on the ward
A warm welcome
"Time is brain" and we are a strong team. Ward 43c is a nationally certified stroke unit of the Clinical Department of Neurology. As a neurological emergency unit, the stroke unit has 15 beds that are available "around the clock" (24 hours a day, 365 days a year). Of these, 12 beds are nationally certified (German Stroke Society). Our interprofessional team consists of physicians, nurses, medical assistants, physiotherapists, speech therapists and social workers.
We guarantee a high standard of care and individual Human Resources development by participating in further and advanced training, e.g. as a nurse in stroke units. New colleagues are trained and supported according to a structured and individual induction concept. Our nursing team also supports ongoing research, e.g. on the subject of strokes, so that we are always at the cutting edge of knowledge. Through our telemedicine with bedside teaching, we offer our expertise in neurological treatment and Nursing to our partner clinics.
We keep our finger on the neurological pulse through daily interprofessional team meetings, weekly interprofessional team and case discussions and monthly internal departmental training for all employees. In addition, creative workshops are held for continuous improvement. This is how we remain a strong team, because "time is brain".
