Nursing care on Ward 78 is based on the nursing mission statement and nursing concept of Hannover Medical School. It is planned, carried out and evaluated in a patient-oriented manner, taking into account the psychosocial situation. We work according to the Rooper, Logan & Thierny nursing model.
Our motivated nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses, geriatric nurses and international specialists. Building on this, some employees have completed further training such as palliative care, wound management and practical guidance.

Ward 78 is involved in the practical training for nursing professionals. The quality of the practical training is ensured by specially trained staff (practical instructors).

Please register at our nursing support point, which is located in the middle of the ward. You will be met there by a nurse who will accompany you to your designated room. If your room/bed space is not yet available, you can take a seat in our patient lounge. Even if your admission has been planned for a certain time, we cannot guarantee that your room/bed space will be available at that time. Unplanned events on the ward sometimes lead to delays.

Patient rooms
Ward 78 has 8 single rooms and 6 double rooms. Each room has a bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC. Our rooms have a television and a telephone. To be able to use the television and telephone, you need the Hi-Med card, which you can purchase from a machine in the shopping street as well as in the Women's Clinic building. Use of the television is free of charge, but like the telephone connection it is linked to the Hi-Med card. WLAN is available for a small daily fee. Unfortunately, we do not have a patient safe, but the patient lockers can be locked. However, we generally recommend that you do not bring any valuables or large amounts of money with you.
Visitor rules
Please refer to the MHH homepage for information on the current visitor regulations and, to be on the safe side, please contact us in advance by telephone (Tel. 0511-532-3269).
Daily schedule
You will receive all the necessary information during your admission interview, as we try to focus on your individual needs as far as possible.
A fixed contact person is available on each shift through the area nursing. This person coordinates the necessary care/examinations independently together with you.
Medical rounds take place daily (Monday - Friday) in the morning.
Food and drink
You can choose from different types of food every day if you do not require a special diet. The food is delivered in a tray system. Additional requests are possible. Please hand in the completed meal plan to the service staff or the nurse responsible for you. Your wishes will be passed on to the kitchen.
If you require a very special diet, we will contact the diet kitchen for you or organize a nutritional consultation.
Ward 78 is located in building K12. If you enter via the main entrance, go straight ahead to junction A, turn left there and follow the corridor towards the Children's Hospital.
Turn left again at the sign for Ward 78 and you will reach the entrance to the ward.
