Information on the ward
Welcome to our website
Our Nursing is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School. It is planned, carried out and evaluated in a patient-oriented manner, taking into account the psychosocial situation. We work according to the Primary Nursing organization system, based on Marie Manthey, in which individual, continuous and comprehensive nursing care is provided for a certain number of patients over a period of 3 - 4 weeks.
Twin rooms are available on ward 83 and single rooms on private ward 83b.
Our nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses, some of whom have various additional qualifications. Participation in internal and external training courses is an integral part of our Human Resources. New colleagues are introduced to their tasks in accordance with an induction guideline developed by our ward, which guarantees our patients a high standard of safety and care.
The focus of our nursing work lies in the care and support of patients
- with breast surgery and gynecological abdominal surgery
- after chemotherapy and radiotherapy
- in a palliative situation
Holistic care is provided through nursing measures such as
- guiding patients who have undergone surgery towards independence
- early mobilization of patients in the post-operative phase, taking into account
- special resources
- Professional nursing support for patients with cancer by trained specialist staff, e.g. oncological nursing specialists and breast nurses
In the care and nursing of patients with tumors, we are guided by our concept for oncological care at the MHH.
