Competence Center for Bologna Study Programmes (KomBo)
The "Competence Centre for Bologna Study Programmes, Continuing Education and Quality Management" (KomBo), which is part of the Office of Academic Affairs, is responsible for the planning, coordination and organization of Bologna study programmes and continuing education and training measures for natural scientists as well as quality assurance and development measures in teaching.
Academization of healthcare professions
The academization of healthcare professions has recently been the subject of heated debate. The MHH is also facing up to this discussion and its implementation. In addition to the Biomedicine and Biochemistry Master's degree courses in the natural sciences already established at the MHH and the European Master's degree course in Midwifery Science, further structured study programmes based on the Bologna system are to be set up in future.
Quality of teaching
The quality of teaching is also becoming increasingly important. For lecturers and junior academics in medicine and the natural sciences, the teaching of key qualifications such as social, media, communications and methodological skills is becoming increasingly important in addition to subject or method-related skills. The quality of teaching is to be significantly improved by expanding the range of further training courses in higher education didactics.
Universities are competing for the best students, but also for the best academics - both nationally and internationally. Optimized quality management of courses and continuing education measures is becoming a central issue and contributes to the development of a university's profile. The aim is to improve quality by continuously developing quality structures.
