Our media studio offers a wide range of possibilities for teaching.
A professional environment with state-of-the-art technology. Designed by the Office of Academic Affairs for teaching, the studio is a central point of contact for audiovisual teaching media - from video and audio recordings to live streams and interactive learning formats. Whether it's an explanatory video, animation, podcast or other media projects - we advise and support you from the initial idea to the finished end product. Together we make teaching digital.
Why audiovisual teaching content is indispensable
Media-supported teaching formats improve understanding and promote sustainable learning. 4K videos enable detailed presentations, which are essential in medical teaching in particular - for example in anatomical explanations or surgical simulations. Clear audio recordings support learning content and explanations; we can make these recordings to convey the teaching content to students.

Camera systems: Sony FX30, FS7 and Alpha 7R MK5 enable razor-sharp 4K recordings, which are now standard for professional educational videos.

Studio-level audio systems: Rode Rodcaster, Sennheiser wireless systems and the renowned Shure SM7B ensure crystal-clear sound quality - essential for voiceovers, podcasts and lecture recordings.

Perfect lighting: Aputure Nova lighting systems ensure ideal lighting conditions for every recording. So we can always put you in the right light.

Green screen & teleprompter: A green screen enables flexible backgrounds, while a teleprompter (currently under development) supports free speech.

High-quality live streaming: Thanks to the Blackmagic ATEM Extreme ISO, up to three cameras can be used simultaneously for live broadcasts on ILIAS, Zoom, Teams or your own servers.

Optimized acoustics: The complete soundproofing of the studio ensures professional sound recordings without disturbing background noise.

Software we use: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and Apple Logic Pro X are available on Windows PCs as well as MacBooks and Mac Studios.
Lectures in the digital age - providing content flexibly
The demands on modern university teaching have changed. Students increasingly expect flexible access to teaching content regardless of time and place. Via the digital teaching platform ILIASrecorded content can be used for preparation and follow-up work(teaching on demand). To support this, we offer the opportunity to present teaching content professionally in the media studio.
This includes, among other things

- Audio productions with voice-over, etc.
- Support with the media-compatible preparation of complex content
Our offer is aimed at lecturers who would like to digitize or record their lectures.
We can podcast!
We have been producing various audio and video formats for teaching in the studio since mid-2024. Podcasting in particular is becoming increasingly popular. Today's students prefer to watch and listen to learning content and proceed at their own pace. Through the ILIAS platform, we enable students to prepare and follow up learning content. High sound quality plays a decisive role for media content. How much do you enjoy being in conferences and listening attentively when the sound sounds like it's coming out of a tin can? Our studio is equipped with professional speaker and audio equipment.

Users are not left alone: The media studio is supervised by trained specialist staff who provide support with planning, recording and post-production.
