Risk management - current status 2011

Risk management in hospitals run by different organizations

Thursday, Sept. 08, 2011 / 09:45 - 17:00 / Hannover Medical School

This year's focus was on risk management in hospitals run by various organizations.
Risk managers from military, municipal, denominational, private and non-profit hospitals spoke about the concepts, strategies and implementation of risk management in their own hospitals. This enabled participants to learn from the practical implementation and establishment of management tools and to compare the different methodological approaches.
The experts demonstrated very good practical examples of how risk management is practiced in hospitals and integrated into the processes of patient care through risk handling to optimize patient and company safety.

Experts from the following hospitals and Facilities or Institutions presented:

  • Klinikum Region Hannover as a municipal hospital
  • MediClin as a private hospital chain
  • DRK-Kliniken Berlin as a non-profit hospital
