Teaching Medical Informatics in the human medicine study program
Within the curriculum of the HannibaL model degree program, the PLRI organizes as part of the module MSE_P_304 Epidemiology, Medical Biometry, Medical Informatics a 26-hours teaching block on the central topics of medical informatics. The role of medical informatics in medical care is examined from various perspectives. Students acquire knowledge and skills in handling medical informatics developments for patient care, research and the organization of the healthcare system.
In addition, the PLRI is working with medical professionals in the project DigiWissMed to develop learning objectives and teaching opportunities for the cross-disciplinary and cross-year integration of digitalization skills into medical studies. The aim is to integrate weave medical informatics topics into the hHuman medicine curriculum in such a way that the current status and development potential of digitalization in medicine become an integral part of medical trainingeducation.
