Medical Schoolbook

The Medical Schoolbook is used by various departments to implement web-based, multimedia teaching and learning content for human medicine and dentistry training. The Medical Schoolbook is a content management system that was developed at the Peter L. Reichertz Institute for Medical Informatics.

With the Medical Schoolbook, multimedia eLearning offers are realized that take into account the special features of medical studies, such as the creation of case collections or the semantic linking of content.

As part of the campusemerge project funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture, the Medical Schoolbook "Zellbiologie" (Cell Biology) was awarded a prize in 2011 for outstanding use of multimedia elements in university teaching. Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka, Minister of Science, presented the award at the House of Science in Braunschweig on March 23, 2011. The Medical Schoolbook Cell Biology is a joint project of the Institute of Cell Biology at the Center for Anatomy and the Peter L. Reichertz Institute of Medical Informatics.
