Course structureThe course takes place once a week. It includes three group meetings of 180 minutes each and two individual telephone appointments of 10 minutes each. The maximum group size is 14 participants, so that there is enough time for each group member. I. Group meeting - background to smoking. Why do you smoke and why do you want to live a smoke-free life? In the group we strengthen your motivation for a smoke-free life. II. group meeting - Your decision for a smoke-free life. You will be optimally prepared for quitting smoking. We develop strategies for the first smoke-free days and strategies to prevent relapse. And support you individually after quitting smoking with a first telephone appointment. III. group meeting - consolidation of the stop smoking program. We support you to stay smoke-free and enjoy your smoke-free life. A second telephone appointment takes place to prevent relapse. |
Costs
As a rule, the course fees are reimbursed retrospectively and pro rata by the statutory health insurance companies after participation has been confirmed. Please contact your health insurance company directly. The course concept corresponds to the "Guidelines for Prevention" in accordance with the leading associations of the health insurance funds on Paragraph 20 Section 1 SGB V. |

Motivation for "The Smoke-Free Program"
Today, smokers can be offered modern and successful support to quit smoking in the long term and live a happy, smoke-free life.
"The Smoke-Free Program" is an initiative of IFT-Gesundheitsförderung Gesellschaft mbH, developed in cooperation with the Institute for Therapy Research (IFT) and is funded by the Federal Centre for Health Education(BZgA).
This program:
- is certified,
- is professionally supported,
- is continuously further developed,
- evaluated annually and
- individually tailored.
