Double and parallel studies
It is generally not possible to study two study programmes at the same time, especially if at least one of these study programmes has restricted admission.
Exceptions to this principle are possible if, for example, you are about to graduate from one of the two study programs and/or the two study programmes complement each other in a meaningful way and perhaps even course credits can be credited. It must be possible to study both study programmes at the same time and a delay in your studies must be avoided.
If all these requirements are met, you must submit an application for dual or parallel study at both universities . If both universities are supervised by the same Studentenwerk Hannover, you can also have the correspondingly lower Studentenwerk Hannover fee reimbursed.
Difference between double and parallel studies:
- Double degree: enrollment in 2 different study programmes at 1 university, different degrees.
- Parallel studies: Enrolment in 2 different study programmes at 2 universities, different degrees
