The Clinical Departments in the Pediatric Intensive Care Network (PIN) have been working together successfully for over 20 years. On this basis, we have developed new forms of telemedical support that facilitate and strengthen joint patient care.

In a multi-stage process, time-efficient communication channels were created that enable low-threshold, direct networking. The aim is to increase the quality of care and at the same time reduce inter-hospital transports.

The core elements of the development are

• a secure audio-video connection for direct inter-hospital exchange

• the data protection-compliant transmission of relevant patient data from the treating to the supporting Clinical Department

In this way, we are creating a modern, trusting and cooperative basis that benefits all participating hospitals equally - and above all the patients.
