Practical year

The allocation of places for the Practical Year in the Clinical Department of Urology and Urological Oncology at the MHH is done centrally via the PJ portal. Further information can also be found in the central information of the MHH on the PJ at the MHH: https://www.mhh.de/praktisches-jahr

The Clinical Department of Urology grants students an expense allowance of € 688.60.

Dear colleagues in their practical year,

if you feel like spending part of your PJ in urology during your studies, we can motivate you further in your plans! Urology offers a wide range of treatment options - despite a relatively small area of application. Due to the frequency of urological diseases, both oncological and functional, the importance of urology in the medical landscape should not be underestimated.

We offer our students in the PJ a broad insight into the possibilities of surgical urological therapies as well as outpatient and inpatient care of patients. Students are fully integrated into the day-to-day work of a clinically active urologist.

The aim is to work under collegial, targeted guidance in the inpatient care of patients and to regularly assist with urological procedures in the operating theater as well as to perform minor procedures independently under supervision.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Clinical Department!

Please contact Dr. Christian Fuhrmann.
