IT Research and Teaching Unit

Research and teaching are becoming increasingly digital. This includes not only the way in which data is evaluated, but also how it is collected, processed, stored, published and reused - in other words, all levels of research data management. This is all the more true at MHH, where the "From bench to bedsite - and back" approach is an integral part of education, research and patient care. All three pillars operate in an integrated manner - a particular challenge for the handling of data and the resulting findings.

In order to meet the diverse requirements, bundle them, find synergies and act competitively as MHH at all times, the "IT Research and Teaching" staff unit was set up with the position of Chief Scientific Information Officer. The CSIO acts as an interface between research IT and the Presidium in an advisory capacity on the one hand, and as a demand manager for research and teaching on the other, in order to bundle topics and prepare potential projects that affect all MHH researchers and teaching staff.
