What is FIKUS?

In order to enable participation in the FWJ regardless of the students' initial situation, MHH has been offering additional scholarships for financiallyand culturallydisadvantaged students/graduates(FIKUS) since 2024.

This scholarship includes:

  • all the benefits of an FWJ
  • an increase in pocket money to €1,050 per month
  • the offer of affordable accommodation near the campus
  • offers in the project and curriculum for personal development
  • An additional mentoring program to prepare for university studies
  • additional advice on choosing, applying and financing your studies.

 

Participation requirements

You can apply for the additional FIKUS scholarship under the following conditions:

  • You are financially or culturally disadvantaged
  • You have a special interest in medicine
  • You can demonstrate special academic achievements with regard to scientific studies
    (career-oriented internship, suitable A-level subjects, overall performance, participation in competitions, letters of support from teachers or an above-average score in the test for medical study programmes)

The application deadline is January 31.

You will need the following documents for your application to FIKUS:

  1. Application for an FWJ incl. CV
  2. Statement of special motivation for medicine
  3. Proof of special achievements with regard to studying medicine
    Indications of special achievements can be, for example, a career-oriented internship, scientific or mathematical A-level subjects, overall performance, participation in competitions, a letter of support from teachers or above-average performance in a test for medical study programmes (TMS).
  4. Proof of socio-economic or socio-cultural difficult starting conditions
