He is not only the 500th member, but also an exceptional physician: Prof. Dr. Jörn Hilfrich. He passed his exams in Göttingen, but then came to Hannover and remained loyal to the Hannover Medical School for over 20 years. He habilitated here in both pathology and gynecology. "You have to be a bit crazy to do that," Hilfrich admits with a wink.

At the end of the 1980s, he moved to the Women's Clinic of the Henriettenstiftung Hannover as Head Physician, but remained at the MHH as a member of the teaching staff. Hilfrich has been a volunteer for the Lower Saxony Cancer Society for decades and was awarded the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his commitment in 2013. In addition, according to the Focus list, he was one of the ten best gynecologists in Germany during his active time.
