Further reduction in the number of laboratory animals - the 3Rs principle is working

Every year, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) publishes the number of laboratory animals used by research institutes in Germany for scientific purposes. For 2021, it shows that the number has once again fallen by 1% compared to 2020.
