Benefit regatta rowing against cancer

Join us on Saturday, June 28, 2025!

For the first time in Hanover on the Maschsee!

In keeping with tradition, patients, physicians, nursing staff, rowers and, above all, rowing novices from regional companies and private individuals will be taking part in the regatta on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Demonstrate your commitment and set a strong example against cancer with your efforts!

Over a distance of 250 meters, the regatta on the Maschsee offers an attractive team experience. A team starts with four people. An additional coxswain is provided. The rowing clubs in Hanover will prepare you for the competition - even if you have no rowing experience. On the day of the event, you can expect exciting competitions on the water and an entertaining and informative supporting program on land.

Registration is now possible here.

The charity regatta is financed by donations, an entry fee is charged for participation in a rowing team:

  • 400,00 € (Family & Friends & Health): Offer for private individuals, hospitals and care facilities
  • 500.00 € (Corporate): Offer for companies and other institutions

As a boat sponsor, you also have further opportunities to support the charity regatta and get involved as a sponsor.

The "Rowing against Cancer" charity regatta was launched back in 2005 and is an initiative of the Living with Cancer Foundation. The Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) of the MHH coordinates the charity regatta. It is organized by the Hannoversche Regattaverband e.V.

With the proceeds from the regattas, the Living with Cancer Foundation supports regional therapy-supporting offers in oncological areas at the respective location, in particular moderate sports and exercise projects. The proceeds from the regatta in Hanover go to the Sports Medicine Department of the Clinical Department for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine at the MHH. Patients suffering from cancer receive support during and after intensive therapy in various projects in the areas of prevention, sports therapy and rehabilitation.
