Online lecture at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute: "Cancer Predisposition Syndromes - Moving from Syndrome to Spectrum" on May 20, 6 p.m.

Prof. Dr. P. Christian Kratz, Director of the Clinical Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at MHH, will give the "Frederick P. Li Lecture" for cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, on May 20. The title of the lecture is "Cancer Predisposition Syndromes - Moving from Syndrome to Spectrum". In his lecture, Prof. Kratz will report on his research activities on genetic syndromes with increased cancer risk in Düsseldorf, San Francisco, Freiburg, Bethesda and Hanover. One focus of the lecture is the redefinition of the so-called Li-Fraumeni spectrum. The lecture will take place online. The Dana Farber Cancer Institute's lecture series features locally, nationally and internationally recognized oncologists. The "Frederick P. Li Lecture" was established in 2010 in honor of Dr. Frederick P. Li, who headed the Dana-Farber Institute's Department of Cancer Epidemiology and Control from 1991 to 2008. Frederick P. Li was considered a pioneer in cancer genetics. He passed away on June 12, 2015.

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a world-renowned cancer research and treatment center in the USA and is part of Harvard Medical School in Boston.
