Welcome to the teaching pages of the Center for Internal Medicine. You can come into contact with us in many ways during your studies.
The cross-year Internal Medicine curriculum includes the following modules:
1st year of study:
Propaedeutic (MSE_P_101) - Introduction to concepts of health and disease.
2nd academic year:
Diagnostic methods (MSE_P202) - learning about anamnesis and physical examination.
3rd year of study:
Block internship Internal Medicine_new (MSE_P_312) - Getting to know major internal medicine clinical pictures.
4th year of study:
Internal Medicine_i&II_(MSE_P_425) - 2nd practical block at the Internal Medicine Center, consolidation of previously acquired knowledge.
5th year of study:
Clinical Medicine - Part II (MSE_P_508) - Differential Diagnosis and Therapy, block internship MHH (Students are assigned to the block internship MHH by Ms. Boße (Center Secretariat).

It is possible to complete a clinical traineeship in any of the six ZIM Clinical Departments. The placements can be arranged individually. For an application, please contact Ms. Boße (Center Secretariat) directly, who coordinates the assignment to wards.
We are delighted that you are interested in completing the internal medicine part of the practical year with us. Here you will find further information on the PJ process in the individual ZIM Clinical Departments. During your training, we offer regular PJ seminars on various topics. If you have already received confirmation of a PJ place in Internal Medicine from Ms. Minx and would like to be assigned to a specific Clinical Department, please send your wishes to Ms. Boße (Center Secretariat). In the vast majority of cases, these can be realized.
