Psychotherapeutic-psychosomatic support
- in crisis situations in connection with an unfulfilled desire to have children, complications during pregnancy (e.g. abortion, premature labor, diagnosis of serious illnesses of the child in the womb) and after birth (e.g. postpartum depression), experiences of loss (e.g. miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion or perinatal death of the child)
- psychosomatic illnesses or psychological aggravation of illnesses with or without organic medical findings (e.g. chronic abdominal pain, endometriosis, PMDS / premenstrual dysphoric disorder, pain during sexual intercourse, vaginismus)
- Increased risk of developing psychological and psychosomatic disorders, e.g. in the case of pre-existing mental illness
Psycho-oncological support
- in coping with the disease (e.g. after organ loss, during/after chemotherapy, radiotherapy or anxiety in view of increased risk of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer)
Treatment setting
Interventions in individual, couple or family discussions and interdisciplinary networking work
► in the outpatient area
► via the liaison and consultation service during inpatient stays in the Women's Clinic, possibly also in other clinics of the MHH with interdisciplinary networking (supervision, intervision)
► if necessary, initiation of indicated treatments, especially inpatient and day-care treatments, in Clinical Departments of Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy as well as Clinics of Psychiatry in-house and externally
