Our patients who are currently in the intensive treatment phase of their illness are not only treated as inpatients but also as outpatients. These children and adolescents are cared for in the acute outpatient clinic between inpatient stays.
The acute outpatient clinic is located directly next to the pediatric oncology ward, spatially separated from the other outpatient clinics in the children's hospital. This means that patients are better protected from infection.
Range of services
Children and adolescents with cancer in the intensive chemotherapy phase and associated severe immunodeficiency are treated in the acute oncology outpatient clinic, which is connected to ward 64a and the day clinic.
- Monitoring and control of intensive chemotherapy in accordance with the recommendations of the respective therapy optimization studies
