Guidelines for Ward 54
Dear patient,
Dear patient,
You have been admitted to ward 54 for detoxification.
Your treatment with us is not limited to purely physical detoxification, but also offers you the opportunity to deal with your life situation.
On the basis of your possibilities, you can develop strategies in the group and individual discussions in order to manage your life as far as possible without addictive substances.
This "ward guideline" is intended to facilitate and structure our joint cooperation.
Therapy
In discussion groups, you will discuss your situation with other patients, exchange experiences, receive information and work out achievable goals for your future. The individual discussions will complement the work.
You will receive a therapy pass in which group and individual discussions are discussed with you individually during the ward round and signed off after participation. You should carry this with you during the therapy period and have it signed after the groups.

Visitors who are under the influence of addictive substances are not permitted on the ward in consideration of our patients. We reserve the right to carry out appropriate checks.
For medical and therapeutic reasons, it is not acceptable to leave the ward during the first three days. The day of admission is considered the first day. Exceptions to this are carefully decided by the treatment team.
Important errands, visits to the authorities or therapy-relevant appointments (e.g. participation in self-help groups) can be carried out from the ward by arrangement. If possible, these should take place during these times:
Monday-Friday: 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 12:00 - 20:00
Sunday: 08:00 - 20:00
If you leave the ward during non-therapy times, you must sign out in the duty room and sign in again when you return.

We would like to point out that drinks containing caffeine, e.g. coffee, black tea, energy drinks, cola, etc., can lead to withdrawal symptoms, sleep disturbances and other symptoms. withdrawal symptoms, sleep disturbances or restlessness can increase.
Medication is taken in the duty room at the following times after meals:
- Morning: 08:00 - 08:30
- Lunchtime: 12:00 - 12:30

Narcotics are issued from 07:00 at the earliest.
The night's rest begins at midnight.
Before you receive sleep-promoting measures, you should have undertaken a sleep test.
You may bring small electronic devices such as notebooks, tablet PCs and Internet-enabled cell phones to your inpatient stay. A television is available for you in the day room.
These may be used outside of therapy time until bedtime.
The devices must be operated in such a way that they do not disturb your fellow patients. Therefore, please bring headphones with you.
Ward 54 is not liable for your private devices. If these are lost, there is no claim for compensation against the MHH. Please take care of your equipment and secure it against theft.
If private devices cause damage to the ward electronics in any way, you will be held personally liable. Only use technically flawless devices.
We ask you to use the devices listed only in moderation. As you are with us for detoxification, you should focus primarily on this topic. Too much distraction is detrimental to the success of your therapy.
A relapse during an inpatient stay can occur under difficult personal circumstances.
Should a relapse occur, we ask you to be open about it. A relapse analysis will be carried out and you will not be allowed to leave the ward until the relapse analysis has been completed.
Concealing the relapse or special aggravating circumstances, for example bringing addictive substances of any kind onto the ward, can lead to immediate discharge.
