Dermatooncology consultation

Dermatology; Building K2, Level 01

The dermato-oncology consultation hour sees patients undergoing follow-up care with adjuvant (supportive) drug therapies or patients with advanced melanoma/basal cell carcinoma who are receiving targeted therapy. Patients with cutaneous lymphomas can also present at the dermatooncology consultation. As part of the treatment, the regularly required imaging (ultrasound and CT/MRI examinations) and blood tests are also arranged and the results checked. After completion of the drug therapy, further follow-up care is usually provided by the dermatologists in private practice. If a change in therapy is necessary or an operation has to be planned, the individual case and the best possible therapy will be discussed in advance in the interdisciplinary tumor conference.
