Electronic examinations at the MHH
Hannover Medical School has been using a mobile electronic examination system since 2005, which works with stationary servers, an encapsulated WLAN and mobile devices such as laptops.
The organization of the electronic examinations is carried out by the Department of Studies and Examinations. The electronic examination system is supervised by the Examination Didactics department of the Office of Academic Affairs.
The procedure for electronic examinations is as follows: After a student has logged in on a laptop with their matriculation number, the exam questions are made available to them. They can click on them and answer them using the touchpad and cursor.
Students and lecturers particularly appreciate the fact that the results can be published promptly thanks to the electronic evaluation of the written exam. Comprehensive analyses of the written exams can be created at the click of a mouse, allowing the content to be checked quickly. This contributes to a qualitative enhancement of the written exams, increases the transparency of the exams and thus enables fair and legally compliant examinations in human medicine and dentistry studies.
