Examination didactics
What we do
We deal with examinations in the (bio)medical subjects. Our biggest project at the moment is electronic examinations:
- Setting up and operating MHH's own service for users of the electronic examination platform.
- Development of a new, modern electronic examination platform.
- Teaching/learning research in the field of electronic examinations.
Technical service for e-exams
The "Examination Didactics" department of the Office of Academic Affairs has set up a service for lecturers to support them in working with the examination platform - see the bottom of the page.

Further project information
Electronic examinations have been carried out at the MHH for over 10 years in cooperation with the company IQuL. Questions in different formats are created by lecturers in the examination platform and compiled for examinations in the teaching modules. The examinees write the exams on standardized laptops provided simultaneously in an exam room. The generated data is analyzed and evaluated on a central server. On the one hand, the examination results of the participants are calculated. Based on this data, the questions asked are also subjected to a "post-review procedure" or item analysis. This allows conclusions to be drawn about the level of difficulty and quality of the questions, among other things. Both the examination results and the item analyses are sent to the lecturers responsible. - The new version of the examination platform, which is currently being developed, is intended to improve user-friendliness for all those involved (examinees, examiners, administrators) and, above all, to further advance the quality assurance of electronic examinations. In addition to the existing "post-review procedure", a "pre-review procedure" is to become an integral part of everyday electronic examinations in the future.
Alongside the analysis of the existing electronic examination platform and the development of the new edition, we have set up a scientific working group to deal with e-examinations and requirements for electronic examination platforms.
