Clinical traineeship and PJ

In order to maintain the good quality of training and to meet the needs of both trainees and the Clinical Department, places for clinical traineeships are limited to 2 and places for students in their practical year are limited to 8.

If you are interested in a clinical traineeship, please send an email to Ms . v. Ganski in the Teaching and Training office. Please note that there is currently a waiting period of up to one year!

The Practical Year takes place in a fixed sequence of rotations:

4 weeks "Anesthesia tutorial"

  • One or two permanent tutors with whom you will be assigned to different operating theaters and learn the basic techniques

4 weeks "Anesthesia rotation of choice"

  • A fixed OR area with alternating tutors
  • The following areas are possible: visceral surgery, urology, HTTG surgery, maxillofacial surgery, ENT medicine, neurosurgery, PHW surgery and gynecology - we will adapt to your wishes, but also to the availability of free trainee places

6 weeks "Intensive care unit rotation" (34a, 44a/b)

  • Tutors
  • Care of "own" patients

2 weeks of short daily rotations

  • Premedication outpatient clinic
  • HTTG surgery, pediatric surgery
  • Pain outpatient clinic, acute pain service
  • Rescue equipment
