Nursing of children with serious illnesses and disabilities
Returning to work or study after the birth of a child presents parents of seriously ill or disabled children with greater challenges than other parents. The children need particularly supportive conditions in their social environment and continuity in order to develop in the best possible way. They need committed, attentive and informed parents who support their child holistically and individually.
In principle, the care of seriously ill and disabled children is well covered in Hanover. Outpatient pediatric nursing and intensive pediatric care are available, there are support facilities geared towards children with special needs and numerous therapeutic services. Nevertheless, a great deal of effort is required to find suitable care and to deal with the cost bearers.
The MHH Family Service can advise you in your search for suitable support services.
