Competencies
After successfully completing the module, students will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and their use in research. On the one hand, this includes acquiring basic knowledge about MSC and being able to understand subject-related specialist literature. On the other hand, the critical handling of new ideas for possible applications of MSC in research should be scrutinized.
In the internship, students will therefore not only learn the standard methods for dealing with MSC, but also discuss and apply solutions to problems that arise. Furthermore, current research projects in experimental trauma surgery are presented and discussed. This is intended to draw the attention of young researchers to the topic of MSC and its benefits.
