Competencies
Students acquire knowledge and understanding of modern molecular biology methods for the detection, analysis and treatment of diseases, in particular cell and gene therapy approaches. In the accompanying seminars, current research results are presented and discussed in the form of student presentations. The module participants apply their theoretical knowledge, analyze the experimental approaches of the studies/publications presented and evaluate them in the context of their own approaches and possible alternatives. Using exemplary experimental approaches, the students acquire knowledge of modern molecular biological and biochemical working techniques for the diagnosis, analysis and therapy of diseases. In particular, students are taught how to evaluate the limitations of individual methods, assess results and search for alternative solutions.
