Teaching

In the "HannibaL" model degree program in Human medicine, Medical Psychology is involved in four teaching modules during the first two years of study. In addition, individual teaching units are designed in the following years of study and in the MHH 's Master's degree course in Public Health.

In lectures, seminars and internships, medical psychology basics on learning, emotions, memory, motivation, personality, stress, developmental psychology and scientific methods are taught and transferred to medical treatment and long-term care, especially of chronically ill patients.

Our learning objectives are based on the training objectives formulated in the National Competence-Based Learning Objectives Catalog for Medicine (2015)(http://www.nklm.de): "Skills for scientific analysis as well as for the collection and evaluation of data and facts of the biological, physiological and psychosocial interdependencies of humans in health and illness."

The internships of module 202 in particular focus on practical skills in the application of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as well as Communications, interaction and teamwork.

Detailed information on curricula, teaching content, learning objectives and current literature can be found in the MHH's ILIAS system(https://elearning.mh-hannover.de/ ) for students.
