As part of the "Chronic Diseases and Health Literacy (ChEG)" doctoral program funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Institute of Epidemiology, Social Medicine and Public Health Research at Hannover Medical School is offering

12 doctoral scholarships

have been awarded to excellent young scientists from the following disciplines: Public Health, Social Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Medicine, Psychology, Health Communication, Health Education, Linguistics or Translation Studies etc.

The aim of the program is the scientific development of theoretical concepts and empirical foundations in the field of health literacy in relation to individuals, health care institutions and the health care system. ChEG offers excellent scientific training within the framework of an innovative study program, individual supervision and interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary discussion forums.

The doctoral program is run by the Hannover Medical School in cooperation with the University of Bielefeld, the University of Education Freiburg, the University of Hildesheim and the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.
