Single center: Congenital immunodeficiencies in adulthood

Our defense system (immune system) defends our body against germs such as viruses, bacteria and fungi. Immune defense is a very complicated process that can be disrupted by a variety of genetic defects. Such immunodeficiencies are rare and often difficult to diagnose, and their detection and treatment requires a great deal of specialist knowledge. The Clinical Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at the MHH, a certified Jeffrey Model Center, offers the complete diagnosis and treatment of congenital immunodeficiencies.

Competencies of the individual center:

  • Patient care
  • Teaching with presentation of immunodeficiencies in the 4th and 5th year of study
  • Functional diagnostics of immunodeficiencies
  • Research with study outpatient clinic and projects on the genetic causes of immunodeficiency
