Hannover Medical School offers undergraduate study programs such as the model study program in Human medicine (HannibaL) and the study program in dentistry. There are also Master's degree courses in Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Public Health, Biomedical Data Science - Master, Infectiology and One Health as well as Midwifery Science - Bachelor and Master.
Applicants who have already started their studies at another university and would like to change their place of study can apply for a higher semester. The application is made exclusively via the online portal. The required proof of achievement and other documents will be requested by the Student Office by email if they are required for further processing.
The Student Office of the MHH is the first point of contact for questions about studying, the application and also during your studies. An open consultation hour takes place on Thursdays from 9 am to 12 pm. The Numerus Clausus (NC) is a selection procedure for university places in which applications are selected on the basis of defined criteria.

International applicants must check whether they are on an equal footing with German applicants in the application process. If this is not the case, they must apply via Uni-Assist e.V.

The Anabin database is a database that contains information on whether a school or university degree obtained abroad is recognized in Germany. It is needed to check whether the school or university degree is recognized for an application to Hannover Medical School (MHH).
All applicants who have obtained their university entrance qualification or university degree abroad must submit a corresponding category A or A+ language certificate with their application.
The proof of measles protection according to § 20 para. 9 sentence 4 of the Infection Protection Act is a medical certificate proving that you have been vaccinated against measles or have already had measles. You can find the form here.
Students at state-recognized German universities must provide proof of health insurance. Further information can be found on the website of the MHH Student Office .
Physicians who wish to apply for recognition of their license to practice medicine require proof of language proficiency at B2 level and a completed specialist language test.
The most important expenses during your studies at Hannover Medical School are the semester fee, health insurance and living expenses.
The semester fee at the MHH varies depending on the semester and is around 389 euros in the summer and winter semesters.
The contributions for statutory health insurance are around 110 euros per month.
The average monthly costs during your studies at the MHH amount to around 867 euros.
There are various funding options such as savings, scholarships, part-time jobs or Federal financial aid. There are also specific scholarship opportunities such as the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes scholarship, DAAD scholarships, the MHH Deutschlandstipendium and the Niedersachsenstipendium.
The Deutschlandstipendium is a Germany-wide scholarship program for talented, capable and committed students and first-year students who are supported with 300 euros per month. Half of the funding comes from private sponsors and the rest is provided by the federal government. Applications are open to anyone enrolled at the MHH, regardless of subject and degree.
On the MHH campus there is an MHH canteen, various Studentenwerk Hannover canteens, the Kanne Campus Bistro and the bistro of the Campus Life project group.
The MHH library offers students access to a large selection of medical literature and electronic resources, renovated reading rooms and PC work areas, the possibility to print, scan or copy lecture slides, presentations and other documents.
Students may be able to find the right book at Lehmann's Fachbuchhandlung in the shopping arcade at the MHH.
There are over 30 project groups at the MHH that deal with various socio-political topics. A list of these project groups can be found on the official website of the MHH AStA .
There are various committees at the MHH, including the Student Parliament (StuPa), the General Student Committee (AStA) and the Departmental Student Council (Fachschaftsrat).
