Basic course: Teaching and learning in medical study programmes
The basic course offers initial insights into medical didactics. You will then be supported in the implementation of innovative procedures in practice through peer observation.
The course lasts two and a half days, a total of 30 hours, and is offered in cooperation with the Competence Center for University Didactics for Lower Saxony (KHN) in Braunschweig.
The course takes place at the MHH.
In this two-and-a-half-day course, you will gain an initial insight into medical didactics. Following the course, you will be supported in the implementation of innovative concepts in your teaching practice through peer observation by specially qualified colleagues.
Contents:
- Learning and socio-psychological orientation knowledge
- University didactic working techniques and planning aids
- Competence-oriented teaching
- Requirements of teaching and learning in medicine.
Following the course, a teaching observation is to be carried out by internal MHH experts (graduates of "Active in Teaching") and offers you re-registration for concrete teaching situations as well as approaches for further development.
Learning objectives:
- Reflect on and develop your own teaching
- Overview of modern findings on adult learning
- Overview of a current understanding of the teaching of medicine at the university
