Purchasing groups

The Medical School is currently a cooperation partner of the Prospitalia GmbH purchasing group.

Medical products such as implants, medical and nursing consumables, infusion accessories and dressing materials, as well as medical devices, are procured via the Prospitalia GmbH purchasing group.

Prospitalia GmbH, Germany's leading purchasing service company for medical products, took over the purchasing association Comparatio Health GmbH in March 2017. Hannover Medical School was a founding member of the purchasing association Comparatio, which was a strategic purchasing and service company in the healthcare sector with a focus on university hospitals.

The bundling effects associated with cooperative procurement have already secured savings worth millions for MHH.
