Pedagogical concept
Our educational work is based on the situational approach. This approach aims to support children from different backgrounds in understanding their living environment and shaping it in a self-determined, competent and responsible manner.
Situations that are important for the children in a group are addressed and developed in a project. Using the method of participation, the project is lived together with the children. The goals are autonomy, solidarity and competence.
The task of the professionals is to stimulate and support the child's self-education process. In addition, the children are involved in age-appropriate decisions that affect them, for example in children's conferences.

Our focus areas
We offer bilingual education in every kindergarten group. The work is based on the immersion method. Immersion means diving into another language(to immerse). With this successful method, the children get to know and understand the foreign language in everyday situations.
In our groups, a member of staff who is a native English speaker speaks only her native language with the children. With the help of facial expressions and gestures, she communicates with them and accompanies everyday life in the kindergarten in English.
All children from the age of two are encouraged in this area once a week in a small group. The music teachers sing, dance and make music with the children. Singing also takes place daily in the groups.
Exercise is an important part of a child's development and therefore important for the holistic development of their personality. We regularly use the exercise hall at MHH. A guided exercise program is offered there. The exercise rooms in the crèche, kindergarten and after-school care center are also used daily by the children.
We also offer the Hengstenberg sensory experience material for crèche and kindergarten children. With this wooden material (sticks, ladders, stools, poles), which can be combined and used in many different ways, the children can move freely barefoot according to their development or a movement course can be set up with them.
We have been committed to good early education in the fields of mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology (STEM) since our first certification. The aim is to promote the sustainable development of early childhood education in these areas and to make girls and boys strong for the future and empower them to act sustainably.
There is an individual acclimatization concept for all age groups to enable the children to make a gentle transition from home to daycare in cooperation with their parents. For crèche children, for example, we follow the "Berlin Model".
Cooperation with the families is a central concern for us. In addition to the daily exchange of information when dropping off and picking up the children, we also meet with parents. We offer a discussion about the child's development at least once a year.
Parent representatives are elected annually in each group, with whom we work together constructively and intensively. Many parents support us in organizing festivals and the second-hand bazaar.
