European Midwifery Homecoming 2025
Dear colleagues,
The Midwifery Research and Educational Unit at Hannover Medical School warmly invites midwives and perinatal health researchers to the European Midwifery Homecoming 2025, taking place on 14 November 2025 at Hannover Medical School (MHH), Germany.
This midwifery conference celebrates the successful completion of the European Master of Science in Midwifery programme. The programme began in 2009 with student enrolment at Glasgow Caledonian University and Hannover Medical School. From 2010 onwards, all students were registered at Hannover. It was jointly organised with ZUYD University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) and HES-SO University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland. Today, over 80 graduates of the programme hold leading roles in clinical practice, education, and research across Europe and beyond—strengthening midwifery care models and the profession as a whole.
The European Midwifery Homecoming 2025 offers a platform for midwives to present their latest research, reconnect with peers, and exchange knowledge and experiences. Registration and abstract submission for the midwifery conference are now open!
To submit your abstract, please send it via email to hebammenwissenschaft(at)mh-hannover.de by 15 July 2025.
On the following day, 15 November 2025, Hannover Medical School will host an interdisciplinary alumni gathering in celebration of its 60th anniversary—bringing together graduates and colleagues from across disciplines for networking and celebration.
We look forward to meeting you in Hannover in November 2025.
Kind regards,
Professor Dr. Mechthild Gross
and the team of the Midwifery Research and Educational Unit at MHH
