Outpatient clinic for rare inflammatory systemic diseases with kidney involvement
The outpatient clinic for rare inflammatory systemic diseases with renal involvement treats patients with impaired renal function in the context of rare rheumatological or nephrological autoimmune or autoinflammatory systemic diseases. Another large group of patients are kidney transplant patients with underlying rheumatologic disease. These patients cannot be treated with regular immunosuppressive therapies due to their existing immunosuppressive therapy and usually significantly impaired kidney function. For this reason, careful consideration is required with regard to minimizing the risk for patients.

Which patients I also treat in my outpatient clinic:
- Patients with renal insufficiency with an as yet unclear diagnosis;
- Patients with renal insufficiency who suffer from a rheumatic disease;
- Patients after kidney transplantation who have a rare rheumatic disease;
- Patients with rare fever syndromes (CAPS, TRAPS, familial Mediterranean fever, etc.);
- Patients with catastrophic antiphospholipid antibody syndrome receiving outpatient plasmapheresis;
- Patients with focal segmental glomerular sclerosis who have not responded to any of the available immunosuppressive therapies and are treated with outpatient plasmapheresis;
- Patients with tuberous sclerosis who present to the "Tuberous Sclerosis Center" with angiomyolipomas;
- Patients with severe courses of rare systemic diseases that require long-term personalized treatment;
- Patients with disease progression who require multimodal therapy approaches including outpatient plasmapheresis and intravenous immunoglobulin administration;
In order to ensure early detection and treatment of all the above-mentioned patient groups, I am available in my outpatient clinic. My outpatient clinic offers a tertiary care structure that enables prompt diagnosis and allows patients to be diagnosed and treated quickly.
