Information on the ward
Welcome to our website
The Clinical Department of Dermatology and Allergy is certified according to Din EN ISO 9001: 2015.
Our Nursing is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School. It is planned, carried out and evaluated in a patient-oriented manner, taking into account the psychosocial situation.
The dermatology operating room has 3 modern, technically well-equipped operating theaters. A special feature is that the operating area is directly attached to ward 41, which enables an optimal workflow.
Our nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses (some with additional qualifications, such as specialist training in surgery and endoscopy). Participation in internal and external training courses is an integral part of our Human Resources. New colleagues are introduced to their new tasks in accordance with an induction guideline developed by our department, which ensures a high standard of safety and care for our patients.
Our working hours are from Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 16:30 with subsequent on-call duty.
We see ourselves as part of a multi-professional team and work closely with other professional groups.
Our range of services includes operations for the following diseases:
- Acne inversa
- basal cell carcinomas
- cutaneous lymphomas
- Malignant melanomas
- Merkel cell carcinomas
- Squamous cell carcinomas
Patients are treated using various surgical techniques, such as
- Rotational flap

The inpatient admission day
You enter the MHH through the main entrance and go to the right into the central patient admission area, where you will be admitted to ward 86. You will then go to ward 86.
If you need help, please contact the volunteer "green ladies and gentlemen" in the registration area, who will also accompany you to the ward if necessary.
In order to get to know you and your needs better and to be able to assess them, you will then have an admission interview with a nursing specialist on our ward. She will also explain the further procedure on our ward to you. If you do not have to follow a diet, you can choose your own menu.
This is followed by various examinations and nursing treatment measures, as well as explanatory discussions with the physicians treating you.
Our visiting hours are from 10:00 to 19:00.
- You enter the MHH through the main entrance (building K6) and walk through the shopping street to elevator node_C.
- There you take the passenger elevator to floor 1.
- Straight ahead you will find the waiting area for our surgery consultation and appointment allocation.

The dermatology operating room is located at the end of ward 41.
