Our Nursing is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School.

Our nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses with specialist training in surgery and endoscopy as well as surgical assistants (OTAs). We are part of an interdisciplinary team and work very closely with various professional groups who all have the same goal: to provide the best possible care for our patients.

Participation in internal and external training courses is an integral part of our Human Resources. New colleagues are introduced to their new tasks according to an induction guideline developed by our department, which guarantees our patients a high standard of safety and care.

We guarantee continuous care for our patients by working early, late and on-call shifts.

The focus of our nursing work is on the care and treatment of patients with diseases of the brain, spinal cord, spinal column or peripheral nerves. The spectrum also includes emergency care.

• Mentoring is a high priority in order to provide our OTA students and nursing students with the best possible practical training in our OR

• Our surgical department is located in building K5 on the fourth floor.
• You enter the MHH through the main entrance (building K6) and walk through the shopping street to elevator node_C.
• There, turn right until you reach elevator node F.
• Take the passenger elevator to floor 4 and exit to the right.
• This will take you directly to the OR.
