Information on the ward
Welcome to our website
Our Nursing is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School. It is planned, carried out and evaluated in a patient-oriented manner, taking into account the psychosocial situation. We are responsible for a certain number of patients within the scope of nursing care.
Accommodation is provided in single, double and multi-bed rooms, which are generally allocated according to medical criteria. We are happy to accommodate individual wishes.
Our nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses (some with additional qualifications such as practical instructors). There are also people responsible for admission management, medication management and service staff on the ward, who contribute to the smooth running of the ward. The rehabilitation medicine team and our in-house physiotherapist carry out continuous mobilization and movement exercises. All neuro-oncology patients receive an individualized inpatient treatment plan and are cared for by a specially trained nurse with a degree (APN nursing expert).
Participation in internal and external training courses is an integral part of our Human Resources program. New colleagues are introduced to their new tasks in accordance with an induction guideline developed by our ward, which guarantees our patients a high standard of safety and care.
We guarantee continuous care by working in a three-shift system in order to restore the well-being and health of our patients through interdisciplinary cooperation.
The focus of our nursing work is the monitoring and treatment of patients following neurosurgical procedures.
Taking into account the special resources and psychosocial aspects of our patients, we focus primarily on holistic patient observation and Nursing, special wound care, early mobilization and training as well as patient counseling. The aim is to achieve or restore the patient's independence.
In order to meet our quality guidelines, we work according to the care standards of the Hannover Medical School. These are an important prerequisite for guaranteeing you optimal Nursing and treatment.
