Information on the ward
Welcome to our website
Our Nursing is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School. It is planned, carried out and evaluated in a patient-oriented manner, taking into account the psychosocial situation. We are responsible for a certain number of patients within the framework of departmental nursing.
Our ward consists of a normal ward with 38 beds and an associated intermediate care ward (IMC) with 4 beds. Single, double and triple rooms are available.
Our nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses (some with additional qualifications). Participation in internal and external training courses is an integral part of our Human Resources program. New colleagues are introduced to their new tasks in accordance with an induction guideline developed by our ward, which guarantees our patients a high standard of safety and care.
We guarantee continuous care by working in a three-shift system in order to restore the well-being and health of our patients through interdisciplinary cooperation.
The focus of our nursing work is on the post-operative monitoring and treatment of patients following oral and maxillofacial surgery and neurosurgery.
This includes holistic patient observation and Nursing, special wound care, mobilization and training as well as advising patients in the postoperative phase, especially our tumour patients, taking into account their special resources and psychosocial aspects.
In order to guarantee the quality guidelines, we work according to the nursing standards of the Hannover Medical School. These are an important prerequisite for being able to offer optimal Nursing and treatment.
