Information on the ward
Welcome to our website
Our Nursing is based on the MHH mission statement and the nursing concept of Hannover Medical School. It is planned, carried out and evaluated in a patient-oriented manner, taking into account the psychosocial situation. We are responsible for a certain number of patients within the scope of nursing care.
Accommodation is provided in single and double rooms, each of which has its own bathroom with shower and toilet.
Our Nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses (some with additional qualifications such as practice supervisors and specialist training in oncological care and palliative care). Participation in internal and external training courses is an integral part of our Human Resources.
Ward 79 is an IMC (Intermediate Care) unit. This requires a patient-oriented and intensive care daily structure. The team is supported by psychologists, physiotherapists, chaplains and social workers.
We ensure continuous care by working in a three-shift system in order to restore the well-being and health of our patients through interdisciplinary cooperation.
A nursing consultationservice (Oncological Nursing Consultation Service) has been set up to provide advice and information before, during and after stem cell transplantation.
The focus of our nursing work lies in the intensive monitoring and treatment of high-dose chemotherapy and radiotherapy prior to transplantation and the post-transplant phase.
This includes the early detection of complications and their prevention by monitoring all the necessary parameters.
In the post-transplant phase, we will prepare you for discharge with measures tailored to your individual situation.
The range of care on ward 79 includes
- Patients for allogeneic stem cell / bone marrow transplantation
- Treatment of complications after transplantation
