Muslim pastoral care

Who we are

The Muslim Chaplaincy is a team of volunteer Muslim companions for the sick. We have made it our mission to meet the growing need for pastoral care specifically for Muslim patients. We also aim to promote interfaith dialogue through our work, and see ourselves as a discussion partner for patients and their relatives as well as for employees of all professional groups at the MHH.

The Muslim Chaplaincy is a project of the Islamic Community of the MHH.

Our services

  • Pastoral counseling with patients
  • Support and advice for relatives and other affected persons
  • Contact and advice for questions and concerns relating to religion and culture for patients, relatives and employees

Our motivation

"Whoever relieves a believer of the worries of this world, Allah will relieve him of the worries of the Day of Judgement. And whoever relieves a person in distress, Allah will relieve him in this world and in the Hereafter. And whoever protects a Muslim, Allah will protect him in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah stands by His servant as long as His servant stands by his brother."

Saying of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, narrated by Muslim.
