Behavior during an incident

Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 / Hannover Medical School

Each of us has certainly been confronted with an incident or even been involved in one. It is therefore very important to know how to deal with such a difficult situation.
In our view, lessons must be learned from this negative experience in order to avoid a possible repetition, but also to limit the damage for all those affected and involved as far as possible and not to allow further damage to arise from inexperience or unconsidered formalism.
We are prepared to talk openly about this experience. Those affected and involved will report on their own experiences, and this topic will be supplemented by experts. This will give you an overview of how to deal with errors, complications and damage from the perspective of the patient, the physician, the liability insurance company, the lawyers and the clinical risk manager, i.e. from the crisis to the management of the situation after the incident.
